The meeting of the bilateral cooperation between Embassy of France in Iran and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences

The meeting of the bilateral cooperation between Embassy of France in Iran and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences with the presence of High ranking directors of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and French side was held.

 

In line with the internationalization and development of global scientific contribution, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences hosted Mr. Edrin Rozir, Responsible for Medical-Scientific Partnership of Embassy of France in Iran, and Ms. Zohreh Mirbaha from embassy of France.

This meeting was held in order to expand academic relations and interactions of the Iranian side with the French party and share policies and plans by the Responsible for Medical-Scientific Cooperation of French Embassy in Iran with Iranian party. The meeting started with reference to the academic collaboration history from the past until now and clarification of health capacities, treatment, and research-educational contributions by Dr. Sharif Kashani and continued with Dr. Zarghi’s specialized explanations on the global ranking and international validity of the university in the world ranking and accreditation system.

Then Dr. Sharif Kashani reviewed the previous cooperation and emphasized the beneficial results and outcomes of sending the faculty members of this university and other medical sciences universities of the country to France and said: “holding observing courses in the research-scientific centers in France is our purpose and we hope that the academic relations in the field of medical sciences, paramedical sciences, and hospital management continues.” This university also announces its readiness to host professors, students and ingenious experts who are interested in attending in international–scientific congresses and other university events.

Then Dr. Heshmati proposed a complete history of MOUs concluded, proposals exchanged in the sphere of empowerment and mastery of faculty members of the country’s medical sciences universities, hospital management processes, infectious specialist webinars, short-term courses, joint diploma of emergency medicine, progress percentage of projects, and existing challenges.

 Edrin Rozir, Responsible for Medical-Scientific Cooperation of the French Embassy in Iran, while expressing his satisfaction with the measures taken, and existing potential, declared: “the continuation and empowerment of international and academic relations is our ultimate destiny. It is necessary at the beginning of our cooperation that we prioritize the measures and plans, analyze the projects, and take crucial measures as soon as possible.” 

It is worth mentioning that in this meeting that was held by efforts of the Iran-France Medical-Scientific Office, Dr. Afshin Zarghi, Deputy of Research and Technology of the university, Dr. Babak Sharif Kashani, University Vice-Chancellor of  International Affairs, Dr. Esmail Tohidloo, Chancellor’s Advisor and Executive Vice-Chancellor of  International Affairs, Dr. Farhad Heshmati, in charge of Abroad Coordination, and Ms. Melina Vatanparvar, Deputy of Development of  International Relations Management were present.
